the way xp grows as you described it is not exponential but linear. if you gain another 20 every round that is a linear growth rate, exponential would be rapidly increasing based on exponents like 20^2, 20^3, 20^4 etc

Note that the energizer is very important to get in multiplayer if you put more than one hero, as exp is split amongst heroes.

what most people tend to ignore in multiplayer they have to share the xp so if you dont want to go over 100 its better to have just one hero

The experience you gain is gained quadratically, not exponentially since the experience you are getting isn’t multiplying every round like 20^1, 20^2, 20^3. Instead the added xp is increasing by 20 a round

I knew about the heroes needing different amounts of xp but I didn’t know which ones nor that difficulty affects the xp rate. Very interesting 🧐

Note: Adoras Sacrifice ability gives exp equal to 4x the value of the tower so instead of spending money directly into adora spend the same money on a tower to power level her

🤓 Um actually there's a common second difference in the XP gain so it's actually quadratic not exponential

Okay but if you have a hero next to a 5-0-0 sub is the +50% experience additive or multiplicative with the difficulty XP boost?

So say I am on an intermediate map (+10%) am I getting 160% base XP (110% +50%) or 165% xp (110% x 1.5)?

Adora's XP cap doesn't matter too much, I put her on resort with a spike factory at the end and some farms (she was the main DPS tower) and I got adora to level 20 before round 60

Wouldn’t adora be probably the best? With the blood sacrifice you can get a super cheap T5 and I think it can give like 3-8 levels from like 12k+ which 12 thousand is 1 level to adora so yeah🧐
