I live in Iceland and the food at metro that was once McDonalds the food there still tastes the same

Metro is still McDonald's. The menu is basically the same with some add-ins such as The BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger.

The only difference is the name and the use of local ingredients. But again, is there any difference between a Big Mac made from Icelandic products compared to that from The United States or Mainland Europe?

It has been 10 years Iceland left McDonald’s. Its last remaining store became Metro where it still operates as of today.
