You should do a video where you read books then watch their tv/movie adaptations and compare them!!!

You’re so cute for asking if we want a library tour/physcial TBR update. OF COURSE we want it! I’ll watch a tutorial on how you fold your blankets if you filmed it!

a “sisterhood of the traveling book” moment with the patreon starting with your annotated books would be kinda adorable 🤭

My grandma has a little free library in her front yard and that’s exactly what they do!😊 basically you build one and then register it with the non-profit. My grandma’s is shaped like her house and she loves getting to see people (especially kids) find new books❤️

Hey Sara, I totally support you on your journey to consume less stuff/books. I have found some things that have helped me consume less are:

1. Not setting rules, but changing my values. I don’t value having a really full bookshelf anymore… at least not inherently, though I’m not opposed to owning lots of books. Instead, I value having the books that mean the absolute most to me on my shelf. I also value environmental conservation… (I recommend atomic habits for a better explanation of this!)

2. Thinking about environmental impacts and about what happens to the book after I donate it. There is a surplus of physical books in the world. Half Price Books throws a huge percentage of their donations in the trash! If I’m not going to love a book and keep it, why should I own it? Why not wait to buy it until I know I love it and will keep it for a long time? This, for me, has changed the way I shop for books. Now I get excited to buy books AFTER I read them on Libby because I already know I love them!

3. Thinking about how much LIFE I have left to live and how I want book collecting to be a hobby I can KEEP doing for the rest of my life. I don’t want to already have a home library YET because I want to keep adding to my shelf until I’m in my 80s! I’d rather my home library be a reflection of the life I’ve lived and books I’ve loved over my lifespan.

4. It can’t be overstated how much Libby has changed my life. It builds anticipation for reading the book and then it feels like a game, trying to finish all of my books in time.

Anyway, this was long, but I hope some of it helped! I love your content and I know a lot of booktubers feel pressure to have a lot of physical books, but I would love your content either way.

This kills me I LOVED belladonna and foxglove and just reread the cruel prince trilogy and have been living in that fantasy in my mind and it’s the only way I’m getting through my incredibly busy summer right now😂 I CANT BELIEVE YOU ARENT IN LOVE WITH THOSE BOOKS

my friends are obsessed with an app called swipewipe and it’s like tinder for your camera roll like if you swipe one way it’ll delete the pic or save it and it makes clearing up your camera roll a lot less daunting and almost like a game!!!

Something I will say about produce as someone that lives in the UK, I have heard (and sorry if this is wrong) that the US uses a lot of pesticides and chemicals on their produce to avoid things like bugs - however in the UK we don’t have that sort of culture, it’s not legal to use chemicals on produce in the same way and so we do tend to get bugs on things like lettuce, cauliflower etc etc especially if they are grown organically. It’s not necessarily a sign of something being wrong and could actually be a sign of healthy produce!

It might be fun to do a giveaway with the books you’ve annotated that you’re unhauling💛

For me, I go to Trader Joe’s for prepackaged food and I go to Aldi for produce.

finding annotated books in little free libraries is actually my favorite thing ever. it's so fun seeing other people's thoughts and what they underlined or highlighted

My favorite FLL books are the ones with annotations! I love knowing another person has enjoyed (or not enjoyed) this book as well and it’s almost like they’re leaving me notes from the past!
