People saying it’s the shifting and/pr the fuel tank not realising that the Jag pulls better cause it has more low end torque and more torque across the RPM band.

I have a XFR. stage 2 Tune and pullys. I have raced m5-m6 and hellcats. Beats them all.

As far as it shows, the M5 was not in MDM mode, maybe I am mistaking.... but everybody knows that the M5's SMG transmission shifts faster if the traction control is turned off. Just facts, I don't want to save the M5

The DSC was not switched off in the M5 plus an early shift in first gear. I think if the M5 was DSC off and in S6 (The fastest shift setting) the results would have been much closer.

The Jag is pretty fast but i think it's helped by the better shifting...
Also i thing that the M5 has more soul, with it's awesome V10... And the M5 is a legend in terms of powerfull sedans ! 
So i'll go for the Bimmer ;)

Big difference:
The BMW S85 is cranked up by two turbochargers and the V8 of the XFR is pushed by a compressor. There's a huge difference in creating power as early as possible. No turbo-hole for the Jaguar and the compressor makes it pull harder because of linear pitch of manifold pressure.

wait I mean I am a jag fan but shouldnt the M5 go to 8250 red line for the first 2 gears....

the jag had a 10 kph head start over the M5 along with a 1/4 tank fuel difference also the M5 is in s5 DSC on(mdm mode would let it put more power down) where it would shift much faster in s6 DSC off so not really a fair comparison as s6 DSC off makes a huge difference (like 50 millisecond changes) also the m5 short shifted from 1st to 2nd and has 174000km and took 6 seconds to hit 100 which is way to long for a health M5, not hating on the jag but that wasn't a fair reflection of the M5

I have a m5 and i can tell i smoked alot of ftypes on the highway
