I love it how even in their new album Audiomachine sticks so strongly to this pure orchestral sound, it can be just as intense as any of this modern hybrid orchestral that is imo just overkill.

That wouldn't be unrealistic, actually. Just look at the technology we have today in terms of music-players. In terms of existential theory, it's said that we're increasingly receding into our own personal universes, first step is simply the ability to choose your own soundtrack to what's going on, as that alters your perception of what is happening.
