Nice video! Let me share you one more focus tip for lone wolfs like me, who like to shoot themselves on a tripod:
If you want to do a shot on a manual focus, but don't have an assistant, just bring some medium-sized object to the location, put it between your legs and leave it there. Since everything around the object in height and width will be in focus, just bring the object into focus and make sure that your face will match up with focus area.
I know that it is obvious, but many people will not realize it, until they try it. It is still better than turning autofocus and being a witness of several focus flickerings that ruin the beauty of the shot.

shooting my whole first movie (which was an amateur feature film, not less) with a 50mm wide opened at f/1.8 really helped me nail my focus almost everytime afterwards haha.

Sony AF is so good now that I almost never manual focus unless I have to. Now with a Cine lens it’s a different story, manual focus is fun but with photo lenses and fly by wire it sucks.

Hardest thing I've ever shot was the first wedding I did. It was outdoor all day in a 95 degree heat wave. I had just dislocated my thumb a few days before, so did the whole thing in a cast sweating bullets all by myself. It came out a lot better than you would have thought considering the circumstances.

Tip 6: Use focus peaking (I know not all camera's have it, but most do nowadays).
Tip 7: Use a par focal lens (hint: Canon 70-200mm f4 IS).

Focus is the hardest thing for me. I shoot by myself and when I use my Syrp slider and try to focus at the same time, it never works. I have to take the shot over and over again and maybe I nailed the focusin one shot, but then it shakes from the slider etc. Great tips. I hope it will be easier on my next shoot! I remember that old video of yours where you walked around the flower and focused without seeing the screen! I am not that good with my Sigma 18-35mm. I have considdered buying a follow focus that has hard-stops. The most irritating thing is to focus a bit too far away like infinity.

Ive only done 3 projects, but my hardest and most time consuming one was my most recent video, Top 10 YouTube Rappers. Im a beginner to Premiere Pro, so it took a week to film and 3 days to edit
