Recognizing Excellence: Winners of the EHS Competition Award Ceremony in ES Plants

The Q1 Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Competition Award Ceremony for the year recently took place honoring the winners, Material Handling and Rolling Mills 1, 2 & 3 department.

This unique program was rolled out across all steel plants in 2023 to encourage, engage, and compete with each section in order to participate proactively in EHS activities. The event honored the Q1 award winners, the Shredder & Inbound Scrap Logistics Team from the MH Department scored 56 points, while the Roll Shop Section Team from the RM 1, 2 & 3 Department scored 51 points.

This initiative will encourage all sections to excel in health and safety performance while promoting healthy competition among sections. The winners received a trophy as the Health and Safety Champion of the quarter, and the trophy will be passed on to the next top-performing section if the winner does not maintain their position in the subsequent quarter.
