For fresh and fresh ltd setting up a factory in an area with mass unemployment there are several advantages to taking this step into consideration. Firstly Fresh And fresh may find this as a good way to obtain finance. This is because the government may be willing to finance the construction of the Factory. This is because it would significantly benefit the government, This is because several jobs within the area would be created positively impacting them. Less people claiming benefits and less going from the British economy. Moreover, This would lead to less money going out of the government and more money going back into the government as these employees would then be paying tax back to the HMRC tax. Furthermore It may also benefit Fresh and Fresh LTD because they are able to employ more people and possibly exploit them. These employees being in unemployment for a long time may be very desperate for work and therefore would be willing to accept this job. This would benefit the company as their costs would be reduced. More people working would lead to higher productivity and more sales.


However there are several disadvantages to building their factory in a place with mass unemployment. Firstly, employing workers who have been living in an area with mass unemployment may have lost their motivation and skills to work. Businesses may need to spend more money on these employees to train them which would increase their costs.
This would decrease their productivity and lead to their production not being as effective which could lead to less sales and less total revenue. Moreover, If a business decided to also open up in an area with mass unemployment there may be a lot of people without disposable income and people who are unable to pay for the certain production or service.
This could lead to the business not performing to the best of their ability and not making as much total revenue.

Overall, Fresh and Fresh may overall benefit from building their factory in an area with a lot of unemployment, This is because they are likely to get financed and other stakeholders such as the government and the local community are also benefiting from this. Moreover, It will also benefit the directors as even if they have to offer training to these customers they are still being paid a very low wage which still positively impacts them. Moreover, businesses may also consider the factor of disposable income but if a business is opening a factory that wouldn't be their main area of selling so it would not matter if the community would have enough. Therefore it would benefit Fresh and fresh for opening up in an area with mass unemployment.
