How to Use Virtual Tables to show SharePoint and SQL Data in Dataverse

Do you wish you had an easy way to integrate external data from SharePoint and SQL into Dataverse? Maybe you have a Power App canvas app that's connected to SharePoint data and you want to be able to create a Model Driven app based on that data but you don't want to have to move your entire solution to Dataverse. Virtual Tables to the rescue!

In this video I'll walk you through the brand new virtual tables creation wizard in Dataverse that lets us easily take our existing SharePoint and SQL data using the Power Platform connector model and surface that up inside of Dataverse.

Thanks April, after you create a virtual table can you add new fields to the table if you've added them to your sharepoint list?
I am not seeing any easy way to do that.

Can Virtual Tables be mapped to a SharePoint document library? I would love to store files there to take advantage of SharePoint Syntex (document classification, etc.)

hi April, say I have two SharePoint lists. I have a lookup column between the two lists.
If I want to create a virtual table, could I still create this relationship between the two lists? What's the easiest way to connect between different lists if I have a common primary key to lookup with?

Its a great start, but I am waiting for the person column to be supported. Most of my lists I create and managed use user account metadata.

Can I create a virtual table of GUIDs and then base an advanced find off of it?
The hardest part of dataverse is not being able to created an advanced find on a random selection of records

Has anyone else experience that the virtual tables for SUPER slow to load. I use it for a lookup and it's impossible to use because it is so slow. I have 200k rows. This is for model driven app however I use the same connector and view for a canvas app, and it is so much faster. I thought model driven app can hand more data?
