ISTA / ASTM Random Vibration, Advanced Packaging Technology Laboratories
Vibration is encountered during shipping (Truck, Rail and Air Shipments). Vibration damage can include load displacement, damaged product, loose screws, loose wires and surface abrasion. The ability of a package to withstand these vibrations and to protect its contents can be measured by several laboratory test procedures. Some allow searching for the particular frequencies of vibration that have potential for damage.
Advanced Packaging Technology Laboratories Random Vibration Test System has a large stroke actuator which makes the system perfectly designed for performing both low and high frequency vibration test profiles. The actuator force and stroke capabilities make the ideal vibration system for performing tests per ASTM, ISTA, ISO, Mil-Specs and other common industry test specifications, including, Field-to-Lab test protocols using data recorders on actual shipments.
Advanced Packaging Technology Laboratories works with packaging engineer graduates from Michigan State University (MSU), University of Wisconsin-Stout, Clemson University, Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), Indiana State University and Cal Poly.
