Not even Samsung’s website seemed to have the proper explanation, as they said I had to turn off the soundbar then press the mute button to get ID SET to display.

Yesss cool I added a second bass to my soundbar🤩

Turn subwoofer and sound bar on. Then turn soundbar off to put it in off mode. Press SAT MUTE button on remote until ID SET appears on its screen. Take a pin and poke it in the subwoofer's small hole located rear of subwoofer. Press in for 10 seconds. Turn soundbar back on. That's it! The blue light will remain on to show both are connected. Make sure your devices volume is up and the volume on the soundbar is set also otherwise you may not hear anything. Also choose the correct output by selecting BT, USB etc. with the SAT source button on remote. Tip: you are never turning the subwoofer off at the wall during this. It's all done using the remote only.
