I remember my mom listening to this and saying the lyrics were stupid. Then I told her what it was about people not understanding the lyrics in sing-along anyways. She got quiet and understood lol.

“I didn’t hang out with anyone else because i couldn’t handle their stupidity”

Probably one of the most relatable statements I’ve ever heard 😂

He didn’t want those types at his shows or to buy his records. This song basically is aimed at people who made fun of kurt who would become their fans. Jocks and whatnot.

Kurt was epic!! He was out of the frames of the "badass popular womanizer rockstar", he was badass his own way! Nirvana was epic! As a introvert, slightly depressed rocker I identify myself to him, also in his mentality!

He was a true artist. He had something to say and he did it. Music is not about making catchy lyrics with no meaning just to sell out, In Bloom reminds that.

It’s beautiful how accepting he was of other people who were different, especially minorities. Although he wasn’t necessarily a minority he empathized with being ostracized instead of hating on someone just because everyone else was. It’s so sad how he ended up. Genuinely a hero of mine. Rest in peace.

Wish my parents let me be on my own

Outkast's Andre 3000 had the same meaning to his song with Hey Ya.

He & I would have gotten along very well: I can't stand people's brainless mentality, either.

I think I know what the song is about. It makes reference to bipolar disorder with 'weather changes moods', but the song is principally about mania. 'Spring is here again' and 'reproductive glands' both allude to acute mania. Spring is the season when energy increases and we spring forward, and sexual activity may be increased during mania. And then the tempo suddenly goes from a slow depression-like tempo to a clearly manic high-energy tempo.
