Показать описание
Orba 2’s comes with synthesized and acoustic sounds like upright pianos, guitars, found sounds, and more, and can work with no wires or screens attached.

Adam demonstrated it responding to bump, tilt and finger position giving control over timbre and velocity, and told us it can send all this control data over USB or bluetooth.  There's a built in sampler with 4 gig of memory so you're not limited to the on board sounds, and it can loop up to 128 bars or up to 5 minutes of overdubbable audio.
Orba 2 Available to preorder now. Price 149 USD Shipping: Summer 2022

The orba one is a fun little band looper in your pocket, something to play guitar or keys to, I managed to sync it to a drum machine by ear then adding a load of synth possibilities, so I expect the orba 2 will be a beefier better version 😀

Let there be music! Imagine how many more people will find their way to digital music creation thru Orba. The Orba1 is what got me hooked and my life hasn't been the same since. I am so looking forward to getting my hands on the Orba2. I ordered an extra skin in white along with the black skin (ebony and ivory theme). You know what would be cool are skins that have two colors blended in a skin, sort of a yin and yang look.

The original Orba reviews were mostly the same in the sentiment that it is a cute and fun device, but not well enough designed to be anything but a toy. For its promise of a hand held stand alone device or a smart controller it didn't give enough control. I don't know whether or not any of the complaints were addressed in the second version, but apparently a bunch of features were added that nobody really asked for. Does it finally have a metronome? Can you step sequence? How many voices of polyphony does it have? The sensitivity on the pads seems limited in the video, is it configurable?

Well, this is just an interview at a con, so no wonder none of these questions are answered. But this device is already released. It is available on their site to purchase. Why isn't there a few dozen reviews on youtube from demo units? Well, the reason that comes to mind is that they don't want to show the device to actual reviewers to avoid bad publicity.

I have a one and have fun with. Def in the toy cat. They recently released a FW update for the one where you can design your own synths.✌️🎶🎹

Unhappy that I have to buy another one to get the abilities I thought I was getting with the first one, but glad that it's finally being done.

This looks sick, and actually portable, like I wouldn’t feel kind of stupid for pulling something like this out on the bus.

Could I directly plug in the Orba 2 to my Wonderboom 2 speaker for audio output??? Using a Type-C to 1/8" TRS cable?

I loved the little Korg Mini Kaossilator 2 and managed to do a ton of things with it. I did look at the Orba 1 but it lacked a lot of things like quantize etc.. Im seriously thinking of getting the Orba 2 though as it seems to have been totally boosted in specs and can do all I really need. Great fun little things to play with and compose ideas wherever you are. The Korg was limited but still very fun and once you experimented it was quite cool the things you could compose ont he touchpad. Sadly it was limited by it's sounds and a few other things, but swing, quantize, scales, the awsome 50 preset arpeggiator too, and more were all there to be exploited . The Orba 2 looks to have more and the fact it is midi as well makes it even Thats a thing, I wonder if the Orba has arpeggiator too. I really hope so.

Does it work with Orba cam and Orba synth tool ? Can you turn on off quantization or is it locked to the grid and can ya export ?

I wonder if the sampling automatically pitches to the selected scale or if you need to tune them manually?

is the internal speaker been upgraded? i understand that the original Orba was very midrange so not so much fun to play by itself without an external speaker? still this is a really cool device considering the price tag.

I wonder if this is multitimbral 🤔 even though he was asked how many tracks it had he never answered that question. This would be a great sample player companion If it has more than 4 tracks

Can it act as a General MIDI multitimbral sound module? If so, I would definitely buy it, just for portable playback of MIDI songs! :-D

Can I select the presets on the device myself with the new Orba ? (without app)

I cant see myself getting one of these. I do studio work and I can do the similar things with my two keypad controllers and DAW's. Looks more like a play toy to me at the moment.

3:57 I can barely hear any change with the gestures, but maybe it's just me, or the background noise covers the audio...

I've always thought these were really cool.
