I’m a MASSIVE Blair Witch fanboy with a pretty vast knowledge of Blair Witch lore. When this initially released, I totally expected it to be a generic mystery game with the BW title slapped onto it, so I never added it to my collection. But watching you play it, I’m surprised by how much love and care seems to have gone into it, and how many details they clearly paid attention to! So so cool!

If you have a copy machine, maybe you could take copies of the stuff like diary entries and put your translations directly on those? So if you ever have to look at it again, you can just read it, but still preserve the original documents without markings. Or take a photo and do it in something like photoshop.

My cat loves listening to the mystery. He is 12 months old now and apparently finds you relaxing. He has kinda been a bit of a mischief little guy at night. Leaving me with restless nights. I have tried a lot of tricks to try to calm him down at night. playtime and music etc. but then i noticed he loves to hangout and snuggle when I am watching you on YouTube or twitch. So now before bedtime I started to play your playthroughs or videos. And apparently that's the ticket. He curls up in his little bed next to me and starts purring which then turns into snoozing. You see he became a fan when he was just a little little guy when I first rescued him and It has been in his routine ever since then. apparently the only two voices that he knows are mine and yours. That finds comforting. I thought to share that you not only have humans as fans but little Fur babies too. 😅

I used to do some of these mysteries with my mom before we became estranged. Nice to be reminded of some of the more positive memories, these were so fun to do. Never did this one, so I’m really enjoying watching. 🥰

DISCUSSION OF THIS CHAPTER:

I was seriously on the edge of my seat for each cypher. This chapter leaves me to wonder what the intentions are of this Carver being. Is it really harmless/indifferent in nature or since it has stated it can feel the intentions of the Blair Witch, can it also be possessed/swayed by the Blair witch? Do her bidding so to speak?

Lastly, I was also thinking, with the backstory of the father, and now the comments regarding the trees moving, is going into the forest, like entering the Blair witch domain? Do this trees simply move LOTR style after each person enters or can the Blair Witch’s tree move freely within the forest and thus, its path changes the forest with each movement. I wonder if when the father last went back into the forest, the Blair Witch’s Tree proximity was what led to his demise.
