0:14 This part that played when all the Navy superpowers were pulling up to Marineford gave me chills like you wouldn't believe.

Man, Marineford is honestly when things really REALLY started getting serious in this anime. To a degree I doubt ANYONE'd expect at first. God, I LOVE One Piece.

"We marines...fight against pirates and carry the justice of the world on our backs. Someone who runs away and lets an enemy see his backs...has NO RIGHT to call himself a MARINE !!"

One Piece makes a very good analysis of the different ways to approach to justice through the Admirals:
-Akainu: Absolute justice.
The only way to deal with such a painful world is by taking everything to the extreme.
Therefore, no one who defies the pre established order deserves mercy and the goal justifies any means taken.

-Aokiji: Lazy Justice.
Unlike Akainu, he doesn't see everything in black and white and in certain ocassionns values morals over law.
But is too lazy to actually try to make a change in the system.

-Kizaru: Uncertain Justice.
Someone who is very good at taking orders, but doesn't think much for himself.
Neither a fanatic or a very moral person.
He is simply a public official who does his job but is indifferent to anything else.

-Fujitora: Blind Justice.
The most righteous path to take.
Judge only the actions and never who makes them.
And never considers that all means are acceptable to archieve a goal.

-Sengoku: The most human.
A mix of all of them.
Someone who cares about the people, but cannot see beyond the pre established rules of his job and is also ready to do sacrifices for "the greater good".

Pirates: respect freedom and personal beliefs, basic human rights.
Marines: respect law and order to uphold stability and security.

Garp telling the Strawhats of Luffy's childhood training:

"When I tossed you into that bottomless ravine, "

"And left you alone in the jungle at night, "

"And tied you to balloons and sent you flying into the sky!"

"All of it was to make you into a strong man!"

Me while watching this: "Thank god my grandpa is a mechanical engineer, and not a high ranking military officer."
