I am waiting for Black Friday to pick one up. Can't wait to upgrade my 11 year old Bravia. :D
The old TV still works perfectly, but I now have a PS5 and the old TV doesn't have all the new fancy stuff like HDR and 4K.

I had high hopes for this model...Sony thought hyping a new processor would make up for a boring low zone count panel. Plus over a year later still does not have a fully functioning 2.1 benefit for new console performance use. Maybe next year...but I am not going to lose sleep over it.

Do you think this is a good substitute for gaming on my Xbox series X? I was looking at going from my 4yr old 65 inch x930e to either the Sony 77 inch A80J or LG's C1...
I play battlefield for an hour or 2 a day and watch a lot of turner classic movies where there are vertical bars because the content is in 4:3 aspect ratio. I do like movies too and my sports. Just can't seem to get a good football feed from the right provider. Who has the best picture quality when it comes to football?

Can't judge local dimming over a video even oled tvs look like they bloom over phone cameras the exposure goes up and down and is never correct so when it sees something bright it over expsoses it especially on a black background lol

Don't know if the ISO on the camera was high. But in the video there is a lot of blooming.

I did this same test with my Sony X90J and couldn't find any blooming. However the DSE is bad in the corners and on the top of the screen.

Lot's of blooming present though to be honest, the camera surely add's some of it, but doesn't really impress either way.

Would you recommend this TV for mainly streaming/movies/SDR ? I was also considering QN90A and A80J. But with the OLED my concern is burn in and aggressive ABL on non HDR content or sports
