I’m in a pensive mood, so I’m sharing with you some reflections as the rain falls outside.

It’s now been over six months since I started this piece of work exploring Sun Tzu’s writings. With three chapters left to dissect, we’re not quite on the track running the last lap of the marathon, but we can now see the stadium in the distance. The end is nigh.

In this chapter we look at the various positions in your environment, and the pros and cons of each. You’ll learn about the courage of Papaflessas, the weakness of Edward II and the failure of Publius Quinctilius Varus.

The goal is to finish this series early in the new year. Then it is onwards and upwards in 2018. Plans are already in motion.

10:48
To arms under one banner
As a unit we stand, and united we fall
As one fighting together
Bringing an end to the slaughter

Winds are changing, head on north!

"Sun Tzu said that! And I think he knows a little more about fighting than you do, pal, because he invented it! And then he perfected it so that no living man could best him in the ring of honor!"

5:25 I don't think they put his body on display as an act of honor. That seems to be what happens when you want to show dominance.

the notion that retreating is dishonorable is so stupid, it is as if i sent you to a gunfight with a slingshot, will you go ahead and valiantly shoot stones? or will you retreat till you got an assault rifle?

i love the videos but i have had to resort to other means, there are a few points missing.... If the enemy has occupied them before you, do not follow him, but retreat and try to entice him away. These are six ways of courting defeat, which must be carefully noted by the general who has attained a responsible post...Just to point out a few.
My advice to everyone is to read the book first before watching this.
