I hope they answer your texts or better, call or visit you. My kids never call or text. I haven't seen or heard from them in 10 & 7 yrs nor have I ever seen, hugged or been told 4 grandchild have been born. Hard to swallow that those I loved the most, never really cared anything about me. I supported them financially, emotionally & gave so much love throughout their childhood, while their father drank & used drugs. I miss them so much.

What if God whispered in your ear that you both were going to be here for another 20 years. Would you get off your butt and actually DO stuff? Or would you continue to sit and whine that you will die someday? Absolutely every living thing will die someday but only a pessimist bitches about it constantly. You and your lady could take a cruise or sign up for language classes or dance lessons. You could volunteer at a pet shelter or a hospital or civic theater. My point is: don't waste another moment complaining that your life will soon end if you aren't really living it. I am older than you and am amazed that I'm still here. Sure, there's the sadness that most of our family and friends are gone but we should have learned how to accept what we can't change. We can treasure our memories but continue to make new connections.🎉🎉🎉🎉
