As you asked sir, i analyzed my favourite movie "3 idiots".

The plot is : -

Farhan which is the character in the movie, gets a call in the starting of the movie, due to that call he portrais himself as a cardiac arrest patient and after the he makes a to make an emergency landing.. This is an example of what i think is a plot.!

Story : -
The story is about an young boy who is passionate about learning new things, and his passion is to study to gain knowledge from the books he gets hands on. The opportunitis tha he founds in front of Its a story of young boy following his passion and getting succesfull by believing in himself and his methods.

So my question was to you sir that what i analyzed of the movie 3 idiots is correct or not?

beautifully explained. One more thing is the world of a story is more important than plot and characters. Titanic cannot be written with plot and characters if there was no drawn blueprint of Titanic, Jurassic Park can not be written if there was not well detailed island and animals, Inception can not be written if the logic of their world doesn't define well. 1st thing a writer should do is define the story world in details, with logics of that world, with places, with drawn maps and every possible things. Then it becomes very easy to unfold characters inner self, in that world.
