As much as I love 4Runners, It's going to take a heck ton of gas to get that 4Runner to 300k miles.

Lexus GX/LX if you want a reliable luxury SUV. If you want something a bit less luxury but just want it to be reliable (with the proper fluid changes), you want a Toyota SUV like the 4Runner. If you are worried about fuel economy, look at the RAV4 hybrid. The new 2024 Grand Highlander Hybrid XLE could be your best bet for a larger and reliable fuel sipping SUV with three rows. But generally you should avoid even Toyota models in the first year when it's an entirely new model.

I bought a 2024 4Runner TRD Premium! I LOVE it! I’m 69 so expect to give it to a grandchild one day!

Lexus gx 460 has legendary reliability status I have had mine for 5 years; bought it used, and have had not one issue. No warning lights no nothing just straight up dependable . Naturally aspirated V8 growls like lion incredibly capable off road and super comfy . Like having a midsized Land Cruiser . Hopefully one day it’ll get the recognition. It’s a shame it got updated discontinued. I hear the 2024 gx550’s are already having issues. Get one while you can they’ll be classics in 20 years

The question should really be, outside of Toyota, what SUVs are reliable? The only one that I can think is maybe the Infiniti QX80. Maybe the Honda CRV (except for the possible transmission issues). What else? Maybe the CX-90?

Many disadvantages with a 4 runner or Lexus LS 460

Yes, they will last.

However, will cost you hundreds on gas monthly.

Two, are you willing to spend up to 50k for the 4 runner

And 75k for the LS?

Three, do you really need that much space, unless you already have a large family, but then again goes back to the first issue, you’ll be broke on fuel alone.

Big v8 displacement means lot more to fill and average of a whopping 16 mpg combined city/highway

Oh yea the 4Runner for sure and even if you want to modify it magnason super charger to give it some power and the good thing is that Toyota even approved of that supper charger for reliability then slap on some off-roading tires lift kit like 2” get a long range fuel tank and you’ve got yourself a machine 👍🏼

If I were a multimillionaire, I would only own Lexus products. Unless it was a Land Cruiser.

Lexus UX 200. No turbo, no GDI (Dual Injection). Not built for acceleration, but will get you to that 300k finish line

270 HP in a heavy vehicle like that, it must be super slow and gets terrible fuel mileage ?.

I KNEW that's what you where going to say! Ford and Chevy are just as good with the "regular" engines.
