Hydro Jen is perfect since Hydro means the power of water / water and that is certainly our Jen. Rainham is wonderful for walking over to Rainham Marshes for wildlife viewing.

Never really explored the C2C network as much, only as far as Greys and Upminster but it is a very interesting part of the National Rail Network. That State pun was brilliant Jen. Great video

Lovely! Been waiting for the C2C series for a while, as it’s quite local and I love it! Glad you enjoyed ❤

05:46 Dagham dock has a long history (the land was brought in 1887 by Samuel Williams, a barge builder) via the Historic England website.

It even had two railways in the area!

The battleship HMS Thunderer was fitted out at the dock in 1911 and was the last great ship built on the River Thames.

Ford built its own pier and dock area just to support factories(ies) that were based in Dagham and at one time was the biggest complex in Europe until a German plant overtook it in size.

3:05 was the reason why the video did not get released because Jen got arrested after she crashed the boat she was driving :P

Not the best Rainham station on the network, but I am biased 😂. (We have a Wetherspoon's right next door at Rainham, Kent 🤣) Entertaining video as always .

Went on a C2C train back in March this year for the first time from Limehouse to West Ham. I was in London for Country2Country Festivsl which is shortened to C2C. I kinda went around the houses to get from Canary Wharf to the O2 Arena just to say I got a C2C Train to C2C Festival.

I have been in this line after taking the ferry across from Gravesend to Tilbury. I agree it has a very industrial feel and can be very busy at peak times. Love it when you are both on camera.

Brilliant video Jen, I've not ventured down into the C2C network very much myself. New roads taking away history at Dagenham Dock, how dare they lol. That view at Purfleet looks amazing.

I think that the C2C stations are very interesting Jen. Look forward to seeing more videos on the C2C network! 😊

I haven't been on c2c, only the DLR but the section where the c2c and DLR run beside each other is cool, also great video and nice to see Lorna again

13:35 That's some neat footage. Ever since I visisted the UK I always wondered if double-decker buses can use railway crossings. The overhead wires are way lower than in Europe and I haven't seen that many same-level crossings to begin with. At first I thought they don't even exist. Apparently they exist, and buses use them just fine.

Very nice. I had "finish c2c" as part of my 2024 to-do list, yet I haven't done any more at all this year.
I've only done Fenchurch Street, Limehouse, Barking, Upminster, plus Stratford and Liverpool Street (albeit on GA, not on the limited C2C services they get). 21 left, I believe.

I sat and watched this video on a C2c class 720 between Fenchurch Street and West Ham. Train was on time, however when C2c goes wrong it's usually catastrophic and takes me hours to get where I want to go.

Nice video - thanks. I walked from Rainham to Purfleet when visiting the remotest places in Greater London. Nice river views, a bird sanctuary, and a rubbish dump! And a footpath that goes on for like 3 miles with no exit. :o)

Excellent video, HydroJen! I can’t think of a reason why I’d ever go on the lines out of Fenchurch street so thanks for showing us!

Hi Jen, and Lorna,
I have travelled the C2C line a lot when I was on my trade plate travels, especially to and from Purfleet. There was a pub and hotel I used to use not far from the station which overlooked the River Thames. The food there was ok as well, proper dinners with gravy...😋
Grays is interesting as well, if you have the time...
Would you let me know when you decide to do the Liverpool Street to Norwich via Cambridge and Ely please. There is water at both of these places, however the water is nearer to Ely than it is at Cambridge, so Ely would be the better option. Lovely to see Lorna again, haven't seen her for ages.
Take care,
Jon B.

Dagenham Dock is a very shouty station thanks to the A13 over the top of it. In my day, it was a very sleepy station.
