What amazed me the most is those holes on plain land without any urbanization around are all more or less circular. One would think they would be more jagged and irregular.

I grew up in a gold mining area in Ontario. Mining caused roads to collapse, since water is required for processing, plus they actually had tunnels under three small towns! We’d feel the ground tremble and knew they were blasting. Sinkholes are common in Toronto too … caused by old iron pipes rusting out and washing away supporting sand and gravel. Made me late for work a few times. Many are natural, but I suspect we’ve caused most of them! 🇨🇦🖖🏻🇨🇦
