I spent 1 whole week using ONLY Omegle to try and learn and become fluent in Spanish for FREE. I set myself a challenge where strangers on Omegle had to teach me Spanish for 7 days straight but they had no idea... I wanted to see how much you can learn in just one week and to see if I can go from 0 knowledge to fluent in just one week by just using Omegle... you wont believe what happened :O

As a Spanish person, looking how George is trying to learn my language is hilarious

6:40 that guy was absolutely 100%. Till this day I remember the exact moment I started to understand English, it was during my English Class when the teacher was explaining the homework and I understood the word "work" and could distinguished between "world", "word" and "work". Since that day my reading comprehension got better as well and have improved ever since.

11:23 She said "With eggs and with avocados or stuff like that". Spanish is my first language and honestly, you did great! Your pronunciation is good for a beginner.

I admire the dedication he put trying to learn and speak Spanish. As a Spanish speaker I can say that it may be difficult at the beginning, but it's so much worth it when you start to understand words, little conversations or even a video in the lenguaje you're trying to learn. It was really fun to watch, and you have an excellent pronunciation by the way.

Espero que algún día puedas leer esto sin necesidad de usar traductor 🤭

i’m very pleasantly surprised by how nice everyone on the language side of omegle seems to be, at least from what’s included in this video. it’s great that a lot of them genuinely tried to help you learn! :)

that's awesome, coming from someone that has been learning Spanish strictly via yt and chatting online.
you don't _need_ to attend classes, you don't _need_ to buy courses, you don't _need_ to start on January first.
You just need to start.
I hope seeing this encourages more people to embark on their language learning journeys!

That one guy had some good advice. Learning a language is not a linear gradual experience, its gonna be slow at first, but once you pick it up then you'll be able to understand a lot more.

On that note, I also learned that exposure and the immediate needs for a particular skill, is really what makes you learn a lot. For example, being placed in a Spanish speaking public lobby and getting booted out for speaking English in Among Us, really gave me the motivation to pretend I knew Spanish. It was fun. In the game everyone spoke really simply and to the point, and I got to learn all the colour names.

I think George really improved along the week learning through strangers, Like Xiaoma said, speaking is the best way to learn and have fun with a new language

If you keep this up for 3-6 months. I can see you becoming very close to fluent.

Quick note:

You said ‘soy/es’ a lot when you should have said ‘estoy/está’. Use ‘estoy’ for something that is temporary, for example, location. So, you said “Shrek es aquí”, but you should’ve said “Shrek está aquí”.
Also, you could say “Estoy muy cansado” meaning “I am very tired”, not “Soy muy cansado”. There are a multitude of different ways to use estar and ser.

I admire you trying to learn Spanish, I know the language can be hard at times with every Spanish speaking country having different phrases, but it's truly a beautiful language that can connect people.
Muchas gracias por tu esfuerzo me encantan tus videos y es lindo ver todo el empeño que pones en ellos y en aprender español

Good job george! Love the dedication to learn a new language. Everytime I try to learn a new language I’d get demotivated because I keep thinking it’s hard 😭 But ya learning by speaking to another person and having a conversation helps a lot because we remember interactions with others.
