my favorite thing about the mayyas performance was that after they had finished performing, the audience literally paused before applauding. either they were so stunned by their performance, or they weren't sure if they were done yet, and either answer still makes me happy. there's something about their performance. it was so captivating. especially after you find out during their questionnaire with simon that they got really inspired by nightbirde, who tragically passed away in february, and it just, ugh. at the end of their performance, her song "it's okay (acoustic version)" plays, and it just always brings me to tears. their performance is one i will most definitely remember for a LONG time.
