Thanks for making this video. The Copic price point has been prohibitive for me, so I'm happy to hear about alternatives.

This is exactly the video I was looking for, no bs and straight to the point. Very good job on the side by side comparison and excellent commentary!

For someone who just jumped into marker art with a $14 Bic mark-it set, I really wanna push the quality and not to mention get some more color variations, but since I'm still starting out, as you can imagine, price is a big deal for me. I'm glad there are alternatives, and I'm glad there are people like you willing to jump on some cheaper supplies to review for us! So thanks a lot, I'll be heavily considering these now :]

What a great way to compare! Awesome video! I actually prefered the colors on the left, and was surprised to learn that was the Uhuhu brand. However, the cons don't make them a great replacement choice, especially needing to buy the whole set to replace one color. But, like you said, they might be great as a backup. Thanks for making this! I just bought my first Copic about a week ago. Yes... just one. haha.

arent you suposed to store/lay copic/ohuhu markers horizontal instead of putting them vertical?

Enjoyed the vid, Scott, MANY of my art buds have bought these and we agree with your review. :-D (They are also sold under different names, I have them as "huhuHero")

Thanks Scott! I've always wanted Copics but the price is just ridiculous. I'll have to try these out.

I'm actually liking the more subdued colors of the ohuhu markers more personally. . .but then again I draw more nature inspired things mostly so I don't need so much saturation in my work unlike cartoon styles require. Wow, gotta say I'm impressed for how affordable they are. Plus if I need more skin tone options I can always hunt down those colors from other brands, will still cost me less than getting a full set from most brands XD

I use ohuhu markers as well as Copics they both work very well if you don't mind not having a brush tip ohuhu markers are very good alternatives. (In my opinion)

I'm so excited for my Ohuhu markers to come in! I can't really draw, but I have plans to use them for my coloring books. I've never been a fan of markers because they were so streaky. However, when I heard about alcohol markers and saw them in action, I just had to try them! Thanks for the review!

Ohuhu has a 100 set now, has adjusted a lot of the cap colors to be more accurate and they are coming out with brush tips next summer!

Brush tips are a huge deciding factor. I didn't like using markers until I found some that had brush tips; now I use a mix of Prismacolor and Copics both with a brush tip. My first markers were Prismacolors without a brush tip, and they mostly sat for years because I couldn't figure out how to shade with them. Now I can use the non-brush tip okay, but I won't buy more markers without a brush tip.

I adore your room!!! Idk why you don't have more subscribers. Also I've been hearing rumors that ohuhu is going to try and manufacture brush pens
