"If you are comfortable with my oppression, you are my oppressor." A quote that will live with me throughout the rest of my life.

We fail to honor our ancestors and elders when we do not take heed. I love the dignity, grace and "rebellious heart" of Harry Belafonte at 90. Although he has had great success and fought tirelessly on behalf of the people, it also saddens me that at 90, he still has to fight. Though he may be willing, when will our elders be able to rest? When will they be able to say it is done?

Thank you Roland Martin for what you do. I know that you're a journalist, but I see you as a prominent black leader that truly use your platform for the betterment of black people. I can tell that your interview with such a pioneer as Harry Bellefontaine was special and one that you will never forget. As I was watching him and listening to him speak, seem like time had stood still and I was in awe of his kine wisdom and intelligence; a living legion and one of our foefathers of the civil rights movement, reserved by God, to speak to our generation and advise us that we can do more than they did if we would just come together and refused the injustice and inequality in our communities through peaceful protest and peaceful demonstration.

what is wrong with a peacefully protest, the guy who protested should be given a medal, I am sure he knew the blacklash that would happen, as a white guy I applaud him.

One vet said that he took an oath to uphold the Constitution, not the flag, the anthem, the Statue of Liberty, etc. It is that Constitution that allows for this type of protest to take place. He doesn't deserve what people are saying and doing. Anyone that takes a look at Keys' third verse of the anthem can see it is clear that the grave is the only place they wanted those slaves who fought with the British against the American militia. Keys' family were slave owners, believe this...the land of the free and the home of brave was not about or for their "property" as they called us back then.

Incredible. “To mute the slave has always been to the best interests of the slaveowner”. So glad Mr. Belafonte was cast in Black Klansmen
