What if Beerus helped and did his job in Dragon Ball Super?

In a lot of respects, Beerus is an extremely lazy and complacent God of Destruction. His lack of action while being awake during the events of Dragon Ball Super actually causes many of these events to have very negative repercussions unnecessarily. So today I revisit a topic I did pretty crappily in a live stream - What If Beerus Helped in Dragon Ball Super?
Our story begins after the God of Destruction has awoken and faced the Super Saiyan God. While he seems disinterested in the Universe currently outside of food and battle, Whis suggests they visit the Supreme Kai to establish an understanding of the state of the Universe now that Beerus is awake again. Beerus lets out a massive yawn and says he’d rather just go back to sleep. “Well I guess that could be fine, but should the universe be deemed lacking in your sleep - perhaps it’ll end up like Universes 13 through 18!”
Beerus’ eyes immediately widen and he tells Whis to head to the Supreme Kai immediately. Whis smirks and nods, changing course without a second thought. When they arrive, Kibito Kai and Elder Kai bow.

Let's face it, Beerus is exactly what would happen if a housecat became sentient and was given the powers of a god. Sleep for 30 years at a time and only go outside when he's hungry. And if he doesn't like what he's given he throws a fit.

Part of me was thinking you'd briefly bring up the "Mortal Level" of Universe 7 a bit. Not enough to avoid participating in the Tournament of Power, obviously, but I'd think him doing his job could help in that regard.

Very good move to implement the change after the Battle of Gods Arc. That point of time was meant to be the one for Beerus to consider his flaws.

In the manga, Goku almost completely destroys merged Zamasu with Hakai. it would have actually worked on him had he not used Future Mai as a shield. Although killing him in any way other than Hakai would probably result in him becoming Universe Zamasu anyways. so sealing him was the best option.
