Anyone who's ever been accused of abusing a child in such way when they didn't knows how horrible it is. It can ruin your life. I want to see this movie but It must be emotional as hell

What is so good about this film and what many audience members miss, I can tell from the comments below, is that everyone acts exactly as they would and should in this film. The audience are in an unrealistic position in that they get to see "if" anything happens or not, but in real life they would have to decide based on a he said she said and only the people in question would know. That is why it is such a scary film. So all the people saying "OMG HOW CAN THEY BELIEVE HER SHE OBVIOSULY LIED" 
or "OMG I HATE THE LITTLE GIRL" are idiots, you miss the fact that in real life you wouldnt have the information in such an instance and would have to make up your own mind.

I'm a grown male and this film does scare me away from jobs that involve working with children. Make one false move and it could result in being accused of peadophilia.

watching this movie was extremely emotional for me. it is almost exactly what happened to my grandfather. when my mom was 16, her father was a school counselor at the local high school. He was working with a family that was going through a divorce, and the girl who was in my mom's class accused my grandfather of raping her because she was angry he was interfering with her family. after what i assume was a horrific ordeal because of the lie, he drove to the train tracks and parked and waited. one lie can ruin an entire family. rip grandpa I wish i got to meet you

Great movie, amazing acting!  I can't believe some ppl really think children never lie.  Someone I work with the other day blatantly said "kids don't lie".  I don't know what planet ppl think they live on.  I lied as a kid, other kids lied... idk why ppl believe the things they do sometimes.

One of my favorite danish movies! The storyline and the acting in this movie is amazing, and it's simply a masterpiece!

The way he handles himself and the situation upon him is so admirable. He remained a very strong man throughout. He kept his calm and rationale, and held conviction that he would be found innocent in the end. Very admirable character to not lose control, act with anger or become bitter after it all. If it were me I would probably leave for another town, I'm not sure I could look at any of my "friends" the same way, nor could I trust/forgive a girl who thought that lowly of me to abuse a child. The guy is a saint. Great film.
