I always see chernobyl depicted as a still, lifeless, grey wasteland. It is REALLY weird seeing this same place on a sunny windy day.

From what I know about global politics, the go-to move for impending disaster is "kick the can down the street" and let the next generation deal with it. There are plenty of examples of this throughout history.

Unfortunately, history has proven that as long as we can put off a threat to a later date, we tend to do just that. Hopefully, though, we come up with some way to dealing with this problem in 100 years, but I won't be holding my breath.

This is awesome, last time I heard about the containment they were just proposing it and only had a 3d rendered video of the project.

The reactor is contained, but the surrounding area is highly radioactive -- that's why the city of Pripyat is abandoned. The highly radioactive clothes of the workers are still lying in the rooms of the hospital, waiting to decay until they are safe. The cats that are still living in the town are radioactive. There were farms where the farmers had to dig a pit and slaughter all the cattle and bury them because they ate radioactive grass and gave radioactive milk. The disaster will last for many hundreds of years. ☹️😥

A little suggestion for future material, my country has been going through a little bit of a crisis in terms of rubbish disposal, I hope you can show technologically advanced methods that are used in the UK or any part of Europe to recycle and generate power from the collected solid waste.
