Monster Comparison - Cloverfield & The Cloverfield Paradox

Here is a comparison between the monsters in both Cloverfield (2008) and The Cloverfield Paradox (2018). Though the monsters are the same design, it has been said by fans and theorists that these are 2 different monsters. This is due to the noticeable difference in size, which is said to be because the monster in Cloverfield was only a baby.

I like the monster but there is no possible way that a monster that big could sustain itself with any kind of prey without being noticed. Most likely because any favoured prey would be extinct fairly quickly

Too bad this series went down the drain. The Cloverfield Monster could have been really interesting if they were able to explore it more. They start out Godzilla sized, but grow to point that they reach above clouds. Imagine a desolate world with dozens of these things. What this series could have been was a bunch of different stories, all showing the gradual infestation of an alien species.

If its same one from 2008 surely someone would have mentioned it on comms and the world would be in more chaos. I think its a seperate timeline and different monster and the rip started as soon as ship reactor went but in other dimensions however rips happened too but in different timeframes

Well let's do some math
Low level clouds are generally based at or below 6, 500 feet above ground, mid-level clouds are generally based between 6, 500 feet and 15, 000 feet above ground, and high level clouds are generally based more than 15, 000 feet above ground
And the first monster was barely taller than the tallest building in New York when this was a movie.
So it's safe to assume that the one in paradox is unbelievably large. He's at least breaking through one layer of cloud
Though it's hard to tell exactly which cloud layer they're breaking through in the movie, it does appear to be a very large dense pocket so it's possible it could be mid or high range clouds. Again either way this thing is really big, world ending big. That's also assuming there's one.
