DRSSTC Tesla Coil Pushed to Destruction

While playing with my coil and trying to see how far I could push it, I found the answer.The "computer of the future" sound track is due to feedback from the coil's intense EMF causing interference with the interrupter and isn't intentional, though has it's own charm.

At the time of failure the coil was bouncing off the 320A current limit, so actual on times were probably around 60us. The repetition rate was approximately 2kHz so the duty cycle was around 10%, which explains the failure!

Did you measure resonance frequency primary and secondary circut? Becouse for me its look far away from matching frequency.
