Показать описание
History 00:33
The Exotic Bully is a pretty new dog breed that was created in 2008. But, even though this breed originated recently, we don’t have a lot of records about the breed’s development.
However, we do know that the Exotic bullies are a cross of the American bully, Olde english bulldog, french bulldog, english bulldog and shorty bull.
Because of the wide range of gene pool, breeders of the Exotic bullies should respect the standard introduced by the International Bully Coalition and provide dog owners with accurate and truthful pedigree database.
Physical Appearance 01:08
The appearance of Exotic bullies is quite determined by their bully genes. They have a significantly large head that makes them quite similar to their bulldog cousins.
They are quite heavy-boned and have a broad chest. The exotics are pretty strong dogs whose strength can be easily connected with intimidating behavior.
Their neck is broad and short, while their shoulders are wide. Exotic bullies have short legs which is why they have this dwarfed appearance.
These strong dogs have a short and smooth coat and a soft, slightly loose skin. Exotics have some soft wrinkles that complete their bulldogish look.
But are these dogs human friendly?
Temperament 01:50
Strong dogs as exotic bullies often seem frightening on the first look. And although they could definitely be an intimidating animal if trained to attack, this dog’s personality is anything but vicious.
Don’t let the bad bulldog reputation fool you, all bulldogs, Exotic bully included, aren’t naturally aggressive toward other dogs or people. They just need proper socialization and training and they will reveal their sweet, soft character.
All in all, these dogs are really affectionate, intelligent and quite sociable!
Grooming 02:26
Exotic Bullies are among those dogs that don’t require much grooming. However, they shed quite a bit, so regular weekly brushing is still needed.
Apart from that, exotics are a real “wash-and-go” breed that doesn’t need a lot of maintenance. Bathing them once every couple of months will be more than enough. Of course, with regular cleaning of paws and face wrinkles after the doggy park. What you’ll need to do, is take care of their nails and trim them when necessary. It’s better to pay a professional to take care of it because trimming your doggie’s nails can easily go wrong.
Remember to maintain your exotic bully’s good nutrition and their coat and skin should be perfectly healthy. Also, pay attention to clear your dog’s ears whenever necessary and brush their teeth.
Training 03:15
People often see bulldogs and bullies as aggressive dogs and dogs that don’t really behave well. But, you need to know that your dog’s behavior depends primarily on you!
This means that if you invest enough time to properly train and socialize your Exotic bully from the first moment you bring him home, your dog will be that well behaved dog you always wanted.
Make sure you expose your Exotic bully to different sights, experiences, sounds and people at an early age, so that he can grow to be a well-rounded dog.
When it comes to training, these dogs need a consistent, but not too intense approach to training sessions. Make their walks and running time sweet and short, but more frequent.
