The Exotic Bully is a pretty new dog breed that was created in 2008. But, even though this breed originated recently, we don’t have a lot of records about the breed’s development.

However, we do know that the Exotic bullies are a cross of the American bully, Olde english bulldog, french bulldog, english bulldog and shorty bull.

Because of the wide range of gene pool, breeders of the Exotic bullies should respect the standard introduced by the International Bully Coalition and provide dog owners with accurate and truthful pedigree database.

The appearance of Exotic bullies is quite determined by their bully genes. They have a significantly large head that makes them quite similar to their bulldog cousins.

They are quite heavy-boned and have a broad chest. The exotics are pretty strong dogs whose strength can be easily connected with intimidating behavior.

Their neck is broad and short, while their shoulders are wide. Exotic bullies have short legs which is why they have this dwarfed appearance.

These strong dogs have a short and smooth coat and a soft, slightly loose skin. Exotics have some soft wrinkles that complete their bulldogish look.

Considering the video is focused on exotics there were so many American bullies in the video I can see where it would be misleading to someone trying to learn. Because we already have an issue of confusion amongst the community Where people don’t understand the concept of breed type and standards. So people are mixing exotics with American bullies. And people are trying to call and show their exotics as American bullies. And it is the largest threat to the consistency and preservation of the breed across the community. Just as the American bully was to the pitbull before it was established. Now that we have established a breed type standard for the exotic bowl, we need to draw a distinct line between the two breeds To correctly mentor all the people who are becoming breeders. Because it’s definitely become a trend in the hip-hop community for young people to think that they can hustle these dogs. And that seems to be the three options in the hood right now is to sell dope, rap, or breed dogs. And there’s nothing wrong with that other than the lack of mentorship

Advice to anyone in the market for an exotic bully. They are highly prone to health issues and short life expectancy’s. And being there so expensive you want to make sure that you get a dog that is going to be a great pet rather than a great expense. So be patient and shop wisely. A lot of the breeders don’t care about the dog or the customer. They just want your money. A lot of them don’t do health testing and they Line breed dogs that have allergies, health issues, and short life expectancy’s that might not show up till between two and four years old. I recommend working your way into the exotic breeder net work to make connections by sending friend request on social media. Do you want to look for dogs that have straight feet and legs. Do you want to see a side angle to make sure the dog has a straight level back where the rear is level with the shoulders. Do you want a dog that has clean open nostrils and Doesn’t breathe heavy through its mouth. Do you want a dog with clean eyes. Meaning you don’t want to see The whites of their eyes or any skin from their eyelids. Do you want to Make sure they have a clean bite meaning they don’t have an under or overbite and their teeth align evenly. Now if you don’t see this throughout the program or in the parents then it’s probably going to come out in the puppies as well. So what I’m saying is if you don’t see this in somebody’s yard. Then they probably don’t really have a passion for their program. They The quality of the program you invest in is just as important as the dog you invest in. Do you want to be sure that you will continue a relationship with the breeder in the future. You don’t want to spend money with somebody that’s not going to respect and support you after they get your money. And that’s a big deal with this breed. Because most other breeds have a professional community of knowledgeable and experienced adults. But unfortunately this breed is saturated with young people with no experience and no desire to learn. And arrogance that they know it all when all they’re doing is breeding random dogs together specifically based off look and color with no consideration of the health and life expectancy of the dog. Which is a recipe for failure when establishing a breed. But fortunately there is people out there who approach breeding in a professional manner, And in the long run they will come out on top because their dogs will always be superior. It would just be unfortunate in the people who invested and inferior dogs.
