My favorite thing about Weihnachts is that it brings out the kid in me. I go home to visit family on Christmas Eve and we watch specials on tv and eat Christmas cookies, like Lebkuchen. And then my younger sister and I still go downstairs at like 5am and wait for our parents to wake up so we can open presents.
So yes. still a kid when it comes to Christmas lol.

I really love seeing the lights strung on the houses and glittering brightly against the snow, I admire the time and effort it must take to get on a ladder in the cold and string lights up without falling off but the outcome is always beautiful. My favorite color lights personally are either the light blue lights or red and white lights <3

I was surprised when I saw this because I thought "it's not December yet!". It took me an embarrassingly long time to remember that Advent is supposed to begin on the last Sunday of November. The religious side of it is largely neglected where I live. I even went to church schools where this was barely mentioned. Well done for doing it properly.
The thing I love most about Christmas is Christmas Dinner - not eating it, though that's pretty enjoyable anyway. No. I love the fact that my family comes together to eat a meal I spend days preparing for and spends it together with no distractions from phones or the television. It's wonderful, and the annual food fights started because my dad tries to nick my brother's pigs in blankets are a delight to watch.

My favourite thing about Christmas is how everything looks more magical with little lights and all the decorations, it has a kind of fantastical feeling for me! Also, since some years I'm going to Germany every Christmas, and the cold, the lights, the smell of the cookies being baked, the wood burning and it's smell, the little smoke coming out of the houses chimney...
