Omg thank you much for this 🙌🏼🙌🏼 I have a nearly 2010 home with the same type of wood and really debate painting it, but you made yours look so modern and I love the colors ❤️

Random but I’m obsessed with your lighting fixture hanging! It’s

Tip or Trick. For the spindles you can use a kitchen glove underneath a sock. Put both on your hand and dip into paint and apply to the spindle. You can can paint two sides at the same time.

Edit* it came out beautiful. I don’t know why you’re getting so much hate. It’s like you offended the 90’s builder grade look as a whole. 😂

Great job! That orange oak color is so 20 or 30 years ago. I have it on my kitchen cabinets and it’s awful to try and match a wall paint color to. Nothing looked just right with it. This railing looks nice and modern now. Along with the other black trim and doors you did. So much better!

I'm a painter, and I use nothing but Sherwin Williams and Benjamin Moore. Super paint is my secret 😉 I really approve

If people had less they’d appreciate it more

We have the same lantern thingy in our foyer. It bugs me way more than the oak trim! 😂

Me, me, me!!! All of our doors, windows, trim and kitchen and bathroom cabinets are 1993 orange😢. Painting it all feels so daunting, overwhelming and a tremendous amount of work!

I personally like that look. It's more modern.

It matches the colour palette you used for other projects in tour home 🏡 I think it must look amazing and calming ✨️ in person ✨️

Personally, I'm just nervous about the sizing of the railing. I mean, how much weight and force can it take?

I thought you were going to restsin it not paint.

SOOO much better, honestly you could have done all the rails in the black and it would look great

My carpet would have matched the paint job if I'd only masked it. I can't believe there's no paint splatter on you or the surrounding finishes

How did you paint the other side of it? I couldn't see you leaning round

Damn when that goes out of style, all the sanding you’ll have to do to get it back to wood!😊

Random question, have a 1920’s home and all of the gorgeous wood has 10 coats of paint on it. I have limited time and finance’s, does anyone know the easiest way to get the paint off?

Love the upgrade but I would go all black.

That primer is not enamel. It actually says water based right on the can which would make it an acrylic base paint. If you are painting over wood it would be best to use an enamel primer and paint. Or Zinssers BIN shellac based primer is the best option.

Never paint clear wood even if it's oak. Your problem is the light.
