cAMP PATHWAY | G-PROTEIN COUPLED RECEPTOR (GPCR)

Показать описание
G-Protein Coupled Receptor (GPCR) cAMP Pathway tutorial. All you need to understand in a few crips minutes.
In this video we have discussed about the GPCR receptor and its signalling pathways.
GPCRs are the largest family of cell surface receptor that transmit signal to intracellular targets via the intermediary action of G-protein. G protein–coupled receptors are found only in eukaryotes.
also known as 7TM receptors, heptahelical receptors, serpentine receptor, and G protein–linked receptors (GPLR).
When stimulated, a G protein dissembles into an alpha subunit and beta-gamma complex, both of which can directly regulate the activity of target protein in the plasma membrane. Some GPLR activate adenylyl cyclase, thereby altering the intracellular concentration of intracellular mediator cAMP. A rise in cAMP level affect cell mainly by stimulating protein kinase A (PKA). PKA phosphorylates specific target protein and thereby alter the activity of protein. In this way these target protein enable the cell to make response to the small intracellular mediator.
