The fact is most of these diehard Brexiteers have as much contempt for Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland as the did for the EU. They would happily break the union because they've always got to have someone to kick down at and even if they got their wish and England stood alone they still wouldn't be happy then it would be the people in the North or South or East or West of England who were the problem and responsible for all their woes because someone else is ALWAYS to blame. When you boil it down these people basically want to become sovereign citizens.

Catherine is either lying or is too stuck up her backside to have any grasp of reality.

She claims that the Scottish people have always wanted to leave the Union. But we know that is BS because they had a referendum right before Brexit where they voted against leaving the UK.

If that same referendum had been held post Brexit, Scotland almost certainly would have voted to leave (assuming the EU gave them a path to entry, which to be fair is not certain at all).

So Brexit, whatever else you may believe about it, has demonstrably made the United Kingdom weaker.

This lady is a reflection of the sad reality we face in dealing with the morons who voted for Brexit. I have a number of friends who voted fro Brexit and now bitterly regret it. On a recent visit to Cork in Ireland, I was staking to a group of English people who have moved to Ireland post Brexit and the shocking fact was, of the 8 people, 6 had voted for Brexit and were now thanking their lucky stars they could move to Ireland

I'm a Brit living in Euroland. I have a strong suspicion that a majority of people feel the same way as the female caller who more than likely didn't dig down past the headlines when forming her opinion. I, however, am not one of them.

"Europe is struggling". Well Cathrine, the UK is part of Europe, because that is the name of the continent, I assume you mean the EU. The EU is indeed struggling too, but nowhere near as badly as the UK. In fact the UK is one of the worst performing countries in the world and it is nearly all thanks to Brexit and the totally inept Tory government you voted for. Well done Ian for not giving in.
