Ancient Messene - Peloponnese

Ancient Messene situated 230 Kilometers far from Athens at the Southwest part of the Peloponnese peninsula in the western foothills of mountain Ithomi . It is also 33 kilometers far from Kalamata .The archaeological site is huge and very impressive. Someone needs minimum 2 hours to walk the site and admire the monuments.
