My grandparents were born in Moudros long ago. Great uncle village priest who woke up very early each morning and rode donkey to ring church bells.
Check out Nazi barracks near port of Moudros.
Also WWI allied cemetery in Moudros (battle of
Gallipolii.). V moving
Moudros feta is like butter.
And the views of Mt Athos in distance is lovely. Great island !

Quite a strategic location this island, between Greece and Asia Minor. Must have been many battles fought on this island, and many sea battles fought around it 3000 or so years ago!
