Thank you. These shrimp only eat dead or dying fish that stay at the bottom and do not swim away. This keeps you tank always clean and in a large community tank like mine with vegetation, some fish get old and die without me noticing but the shrimp sort that problem out before it pollutes the water.

I paid about 15 euros for 3 adults 2 years ago and since then they bred to over 100 offspring that i have sold, exchanged and given out. They are wonderful tank cleaners in the sense that if a fish dies they devour it in a few hours.

They are scavengers, and will eat anything they can pickup. even though they will not actively hunt, any weak or sick small fish or animal they just lies there will be devoured.
