From My Archives - Vileda VR 101 Robotic Vacuum First Look

This is an old video I found in my archives that you haven't seen, so I thought I would upload it before the new year. I still have this model and plan to film a proper demonstration at some point.

With these robot vacuums and see if they cover the whole area without having to put dirt everywhere is to film it positioning the camera where it covers that same area and then in post tracing its route so that it’s easy to see if it has missed anything or even if it goes over already cleaned areas showing its effectiveness, but I’m sure you know this.... it’s the patience and time to do it ;-)

Hi Roger. Thank you so much for your vacuum videos. I’m also a “sucker” for vacuums ;-). This might have been caused by being the main hoover man at home since a little boy and of course this task has stuck with me.
Keep doing the heavy lifting (testing) so that we don’t have to.
By the way the right way to pronounce vileda is “veeleda”. This comes from the German wie Leder which means “like leather”.

I have it some time ago, even recorded video on my channel. You could use it without the top cover - its power brush is powerful, plus it has clear bin so you can observe the particles pick up inside.

I also like square robot vacs with the brushrolls up front. I like the machines from Samsung with linear programming.

Not sure exactly what robot offerings you have in the UK but there really isn’t a better robot at cleaning than a neato. The only ones that can compete are the roborock S5, S6 and the roomba S9+.

In the US vileda is o'sedar meaning they make same stuff but different brands

I just don't see the point in getting one of theses (speaking of robotic vacuums in general). You can manually vacuum this rug in a few minutes and do a much better job.
