As someone who’s been watching F1 since 2002 and watched him in 2003 when I was only a 10 year old kid, It’s just really amazing to see him with a car that literally matches his talent especially at an age where many of the drivers he fought for titles are absolutely pass it. I’m 30 and it’s insane how he’s up there with the young guns like Verstappen, Leclerc, Norris and Russell. His car won’t challenge the all conquering Red Bulls but the dude is absolutely extracting and maximizing every ounce of performance from that car. Alonso has to be amongst the top 5 drivers I’ve seen in my 21 years of watching f1.
