Had to explain this to my ex for the sake of our 10 yr old daughter. Boys fight, scuffle, throw tough words around and generally it's done. Girls can be poisonous in groups and cause far more pain than a couple of punches do. Not every girl obviously but there is a nasty streak in groups of girls that boys don't have in the same way.

When I was 12-13, there was a kid (same age) that didnt like me. He went around telling other boys not to be friends with me. And they all laughed at him and told him he didnt make any sense. Boys, generally speaking, are different. Especially when they are ALLOWED to be boys without any influence.

It's not just slander. Girls in school will play underhanded games like tearing up your clothes, putting tissues in your water bottle, tell everyone you hit them, write horrible things on your desk, soak your bag in water, make sure you are never able to make a friend anywhere etc etc

I literally learnt this in my psychology lecture in uni, men are more violent in terms of physical aggression, and women are more violent in terms of reputation damage (ie. Spreading rumours and false lies)

But; many women do this as a means of revenge
Their (our) aggression can manifest into something quite devious and psychologically aggressive. We know we don't have the physical strength to win a fight but we have many other resources to use instead of physicality
That means upsetting the wrong woman can be quite a dangerous thing as we can play the long game. Speaking as a woman I know exactly what he means.
