The only problem was just the emotional difference

Season 1 felt so raw (I don’t really know how to use that word), you really felt so desperate watching Gi-hun struggle, and felt dread watching the games unfold

Season 2 was much easier to watch, but that first episode perfectly encapsulated Season 1’s feeling while progressing the story (Bravo). The new characters weren’t nearly as emotionally developed, even the dad and Jun Bae who were supposed to have the most shocking deaths in the end, didn’t even scratch the marble game (? On the dad).

Why 456 made the mistake of casually trusting 001 twice in a row is beyond me.

No one has noticed a spike in missing person reports every so often? Even if only a fraction of people were reported missing, that’s still a lot of people at exactly the same time

Season 2 definitely needed more episodes to flesh everything out like season 1.

I have a feeling they split the full season into two parts because of Netflix.

For me They did that because Gi-hun went there to stop the games, save whoever he could, because he already survived those games.

And by the way Gi-hun remained the main character. these different threads are visible but do not take away the primacy of the main plot

I honestly felt Season 2 was a bit sillier than season one. I don’t know if it was the games or the characters or both, it just didn’t feel as deep as Season 1 did.

I was just annoyed when I was on the last episode of S2 and realized they definitely not going to wrap up this story in the remaining hour it had left. Hopefully the wait isnt too long for S3.

They definitely focused more on human motivation and psychology more than the actual games. Im a pretty big fan of this style, but it definitely is a detriment how we know need to wait months for the new season

I'm pretty sure they make it clear that Jun-Ho CHOSE to be a traffic cop, not that he was demoted to one. His cop friend basically asked him, "Why are you wasting your time being a traffic cop? You're too good of a cop to be doing this kind of stuff."

Season 2 is surprisingly so good, the front man is such a great character and such a well used character.

There's just so much back story and justification required to wrap things up.
