While Squid Game Season 2 may not be as intriguing as Season 1, but its still very solid. Amazing writing, great character development and of course some very clever hidden details and clues. Let me know which episode was your favorite. And oh, do you have any theories for Season 3? Why do you think the Front Man decided to spare Gi-hun at the end?

Comment any theories/predictions you have for Season 3. Btw, why do you think the Front Man decided to spare Gi-hun at the end?

I observed that throughout the show, the Front Man consistently tried to make 456 agree on one principle: that sacrifices are necessary to achieve something significant. In the final episode, when 456 was finally willing to sacrifice some members of his group, the satisfaction on the Front Man's face became evident.

One detail i noticed is the order of the games were like on that on purpose to create maximum chaos. The Pentathalon game made the players bond in groups of 5, making it harder for the groups to divide in Mingle. Making betraying each other inevitable

2:28 Just so you know, Korea literally has thousands of islands. 3, 358 oficially recognized, but it is known that there may be more.

The boat man working for them made so much sense... I was thinking how dumb it was this guy just happened to find dude in the middle of the ocean.

I don't think the son abandoned his mother, he was forcefully dragged by those guys. If they didn't drag him, im sure they both stays out and dies. I believe he won't leave his mother. You can see him struggling to let loose in that scene.

The greatest detail was that they search the guards for more magazines. This is something a loot movies or shows never think about it and they allways have unlimited amunition!

I also noticed an important detail – during the first vote, after some participants interrupted, the masked men warned that if anyone interfered with the voting again, there would be consequences. Later, when player 456 was preparing to convince the others to vote for leaving, player 1 noticed his intentions. Anticipating that 456 might interrupt and put himself at risk, player 1 deliberately interrupted first. He knew the masked men wouldn’t harm him, effectively protecting 456 from potential danger.

Here is one from me. The main characters were last in the game with the legs tied, because if they didn't succeed, the guards can kill everyone but the front man with no witnesses.
Also I think the front man said this to the mother in order to show Gi-hun how the people he is fighting for get corrupted, they can even abandon their own mothers.

One thing I still haven't found anyone commenting on: the face the Front Man makes when he misses the toy (I don't know the name in English haha) and goes down to get it, he literally gives an evil smile because he's clearly sabotaging the game on purpose. By the way, AMAZING video, loved finding out about those details!

the actor who plays front man was so good at spinning top that he would keep on getting the throw on the first tries, causing bloopes over and over again. The actors confirmed it, so to fail he had to be forced to uses his right hand to get the fail. It was done unintentionally but its a nice detail to the episode. Revealing front man ture intentions.

I don't see the frontman participating in the game as a problem, it makes it even more thrilling for me, because we don't know exactly when or how he will betray Gi-hun, we just know that it can happen any second. It somehow doesn't cross Gi-huns mind that player 001 could actually be one of the enemies, despite the fact that Il-nam was player 001 in Gi-huns first game. It makes me wanna scream at the screen "it's him!" the whole time and I'm also surprised that the frontman chose to be player 001 because I find it a bit too obvious.

3:48 I’m tired of people saying he abandoned his mum, he was forcefully dragged by people, he did not abandon his mum, you can see him trying to escape and yell “eomma!” Meaning mum.

Another thing is that there is a parallel between the bread and lottery ticket game the recruiter was holding and the updated rules of the squid game. Any of the homeless people could’ve taken the safer option of the bread and been better off than they were before, but took the lottery ticket for an extremely small chance at winning big. This is similar to how the survivors in the squid game act during season 2. Instead of taking the bread (in this case the smaller cut of the prize pool) many of them continue to play more games in hopes of winning big

I think the predictability works well for season 2. Knowing what will happen adds to the tension and tragedy so much. There was no way that they were going to completely trick people this go round after the first huge twist in season 1, so I like that they didn’t even try. The suspense is knowing that the bomb is in the room but not knowing exactly when it will go off.

small detail I noticed in episode 7 is when gi-hun wants to sacrifice team x so they can get the guns from the guards. 001 initially wants team X to attack team O first but gi-hun declined on that plan. 001 Looked him in the eye and asks him “so you want to sacrifice someone for your goal?”. This is a bit ironic coming from gi-hun since this is the whole point of squid game and the main perspective of 001 as front man. To get better or bigger price pool you need to kill others.

they put bros tracker in a can of bait. literally baited them with bait. and last season before they shot the cop his brother radioed and said “get the boat ready” foreshadowing the captain

I noticed a lot of people made the assumption that No-Eul is Sae Byeok’s sister just because they’re both North Korean defectors, but if you’ve watched season 1, Sae Byeok already said she has 2 brothers. Her older brother & father died while trying to escape, she was only left with her younger brother & mother. In season 2, Gi-Hun is still trying to locate Sae Byeok’s mother.

He is dragged by two men. He’s screaming “that’s my mom”. He immediately goes to her sobbing. He protects her and says they won’t be parted from that moment on. Doesn’t sound like abandonment

And another detail I personally found is that the salesman when he was instructing russian roulette with mafia boss and his assistant he aimed his gun at his own head and shot but when he instructing the same game to gi-hun in hotel he just fire towards up, This shows that salesman is afraid of gi-hun's luck because we already know that salesman is suprised that gi-hun won
