Chicago’s own Wild Belle have dropped a video for their latest track “Backslider”. Siblings Natalie and Elliot Bergman stick to their ’60s aesthetics by molding their moody soul over dusty family slides. “Even in your arms I’m alone,” Natalie sings in front of a lone projector and just like that it’s as desolate as it sounds.
“There’s not a heavy plotline but it is aesthetically capturing because it’s got a mysterious vibe and energy,” Natalie told The New York Times. “Bennett, our little brother came home and I was like: I want to finish this video, so we went to Ace Hardware and got a rope and a really long tarp and hung it in between these two oak trees in my backyard and just shot at night, for two nights in a row.”
