I have never, in my 7 years of animating, had such a horrible video making experience.
And I'm not exaggerating, the amount of headaches and stress to finish this vid was, damn. I rarely even have headaches ☠️
The reason why this video took me so long and it was so hard to make is cuz I wasn't enjoying it. When I make an animation I don't like I often leave it and never go back to it again, but this time I wanted to force myself to finish it, because I need to get used to making animations I don't like.
Also bc this vid is important to start the kittydoll lore yknow, to explain a Lil more in detail.
I don't do walking animations often so this (apart from the headaches) was a great practice too.
Man idrk what to say for this one, I'm just super relieved I finished it and that I liked the end result, imagine working so hard on smth that u don't even like at the end.
Damn u can literally see a bit of artstyle change from the first drawing to the last, that's how much time passed ☠️

I've been working on this for 3 months yet my dumbass wrote Robert instead of Roger in the beginning, kms.

*Animation takes time.* Shes currently working on her own animated series, shes is currently working on the pilot. As far as I know it stated it will be over 2-3 minutes long meaning lots of frames and work.

So its going to take her a while. Give her time

Some of my favorite things in this animation:
1. Before Donna falls, at 0:07, we can see a knife that Roger quickly puts behind his back. Symbolizing that he had bad intentions at the start.

2. "A simple symptom, no!" Roger looks upset because she refused and walked away. Its relaly character defining for Roger.

3. Its a sort of "blink and youll miss it" moment, but Donna is covered from head to toe in her own blood. Maybe Roger kills her later on in the story?

4. After Donna says "Is this a lie?" For a split second, her eyes are blacked out. This could symbolize her neglecting to see that Roger was a bad person from the start?

Overall, this animation is super fluid and the way the characters move are very human. Kitty, i hope you know that I've been watching you since the start and it phenomenal to see the improvement. Keep it up!!

i like the little detail that, when they are younger, abusive people look nicer and more kind even, but you only find out the monsters they are after they reveal their true colors themselves.

I rlly rlly like how you described and depicted/illustrated what an unhealthy relationship is. The person will come to you at first and tell you the sweetest stuff, then, you’ll feel bad for not loving them, and you’ll feel obligated to. Then, you get pulled into this rabbit hole, and all you feel when you’re with that person is just — numb. This was so well made too, the emotions, color, editing, and the smooth movements! I really like this, Kitty.

Around 0:26 there’s two little holes covering her eyes for a split second! The attention to detail in every single frame is actually insane. This has got to be one of my favorite animation memes ever, not only because of the little Easter eggs (ex. The knife he holds when catching her that he quickly puts away) but because of the human movements and proportions, while still keeping it cartoon-ish. Amazing!

Oh Man, I love how you can see Donna progressively show more and more fear towards Roger as the video goes on and how Roger has a knife in the beginning. ( 0:07 ) It’s honestly implied that Donna was most likely stabbed and if not beaten to death since there’s a clip at ( 0:19 ) showing her drenched from head to toe in what seems to be in her own blood..Overall, I love how the picture kinds of paints itself progressively with Roger’s true colors showing close to the end and somewhere in the beginning. Gave me a chill especially since I love any type of like true crime I just had to say something about this. 🩷💀
