EASY TURTLE CANDIES | Pecan Rolo Pretzel Delights

Hi there! These little sweet, salty, and nutty desserts, are the perfect bitesized delight for Christmas time - or anytime, really! Turtles are a great dessert, for beginner bakers. The recipe only requires three ingredients, and is mess-free. It's also a great recipe for getting the kidos involved with you, in the kitchen!

What You'll Need:
-tiny pretzel twists
-Rolos
-pecan halves (or M&Ms)

What You’ll Do:
1. Preheat oven to 250°
2. Line a baking sheet with parchment
3. Lay pretzel on the pan, in a single layer
4. Place one rolo in the center of each pretzel
5. Bake the rolo-topped-pretzels for 3-5 minutes, or until the rolo is soft
6. Working quickly, gently press a pecan half into each rolo
7. Enjoy immediately, or let cool in the fridge, for 15 minutes
8. Enjoy

I love pecans but not on choc & pretzels! This yr. where I live, pecans were outrageously expensive. (same brand you used)
But the macadamia nuts were on sale. 🤷 (also the same brand) I'd rather put a nut on top than added choc., And, not everyone likes nuts, or, they're allergic to nuts. Anyway I'm topping them with macadamia nuts this time. Still a nut, but the size of m&ms!! 💖💚💖💚💖 Merry Christmas !!

from the north, I say pe-CON. Used to make these all the time, until lately, the rolos have shrunk and they don't seem to cover the pretzel as well, not as tasty lately. I've had to switch to individually wrapped bite size Caramellos, more expensive, but a large bite size candy and very delicious.
