Physiotherapist writes offensive comment in patient's file

An investigation is underway in Interior Health after a health-care worker allegedly made offensive comments in a patient's file.

I am not surprised by this at all. Medical “professionals” need to do better. All judgements, assumptions need to stay at the door. Where has the professionalism gone?! Canadian healthcare workers can sometimes be so bitter and rude

It is not you…..the Physiotherapist hates himself and life, and needs psychological counselling!
Should not be permitted to see clients/practice as a physiotherapist until he can get His act together.

There was a judge in Alberta who claimed an indigenous woman “deserved to get r*ped” because of what she was wearing. This caused an overhaul and complete training for all judges in the province. This needs to happen with all healthcare workers in Canada

I was off for a work injury several years ago. I was having a lot of pain and couldn't lift my right arm. I was trying to do rehab at a 'return to work' program through Worksafe. I was also waiting for an appt for a CT or MRI on my neck to check for herniated discs. They were really pushing me but I couldn't do it. They cut me off, I filed an appeal and I got to read what was written about me. "Lazy, faking, malingerer, attention seeking, " and so on. I finally got my scan. Two herniated disks in my neck. I won the appeal. Worksafe is not there to help the injured worker. They are there to break you and cut you loose.

I have a story somewhat like this just a little more detailed you see I to was hurt at work, in 2021 and at the time my employer lied to WCB to have my compensation denied I sought help from WCAT for this and won, I tried to have my injury claim under a Active soft tissue disorder but that to was denied not because the Case Manager decided this no the issue is the MA and their opinion over ruled the Case manager and the claim was denied, only problem I have with this is that according to WCB policy as well as the BC Medical Journal states the MA is NOT the one who decides the claim but in fact this is what was done. Case manager in a recorded conversation with myself states he is "Forced to accept the MA opinion" he also states to me the "His hands are tied"
why is this case manager being forced to agree with the MA and their opinion
why is his hands tied ??
makes a person wonder after this as to how many claims have been denied due to the MA being the deciding factor in a claim
and YES I am taking this issue to WCAT once again but now I have been demanded to show evidence to WCAT before my appeal is allowed to move forward
