Might be the only player in my life that I went from hating entirely to loving like a brother as the years went on. When he was up for it he was an absolute joy to watch, especially in Europe.

Love the videos, including this one but a few things missed out:

1) Samaras is in Celtic's top 10 European goalscorers for all time

2) Scored in 5 consecutive European away games, a record.

3) Scored the winner in our first CL away win

4) Captained the team in the famous win against Barca

5) in the 2010/2011 season he played mainly left wing and clocked up I think 12 or 13 assists. His overall goal contribution was just over 1 in 2.



6) He took 2 pay cuts to play for Celtic. Firstly when signing and again when signing a new deal. He refused a third pay cut.

I seem to remember he was better when he was played as a winger. He could run like an absolute horse down the wing for a man of his size

I wasn't the biggest fan of him. Anytime I watched him, there would be a clear cut chance & he'd make a mess of it. His finishing was bad. He was ok overall

Harald Brattbakk wasn't given a pass for doing nothing why was this guy. Useful in matches where we don't have to break down opposition defences but had to engage in a midfield battle i.e. against Rangers and in Europe. In the bread and butter matches was worse than useless. A disgrace of a player and shame on Celtic fans for letting him off the hook.
