Sahalie and Koosah Falls Trail
On Hwy 126 in the Cascades Mountains of Oregon you'll find many amazing places. One of which is a trail called The Waterfall Trail. This trail winds along the lush beautiful McKenzie River close to the headwaters from Clear Lake.
From the East Parking lot the paved trail begins right to Sahalie Falls, which is ADA Accessable from the viewing platform. Once you pass the jaw dropping 100 foot waterfall, the dirt trail begins heading West down the McKenzie River. As you stroll down the trail across tree roots and wooden stair steps, its just a short 1 mile to the next waterfall, Koosah Falls.
Oregon is full of Natural Beauty and this trail is a must for anyone visiting the state or anyone traveling over the Cascades. Tamolitch Blue Pool, Clear Lake, and Hwy 242 to Dee Wright Observatory on the way or from Sisters Oregon are just a few of the other great places to see in this area.
